Great watch. I usually wear cheap and nasty watches so I have no fear of getting them damaged but I fancied an upgrade. I was drawn to the field watches but didn't want to blow £200
and be scared to wear it.
I like how quiet the watch is and it seems to be really accurate so far. The luminous dials and hands are a nice feature aswell.
I've wore it every day since I got it, the strap is comfortable and I love that the excess strap doesn't flap about and can be tucked in. Bought a new black strap for it, would be cool if you had a choice of strap colour when purchasing.
I'd recommend this watch to anyone looking for a sturdy companion for everyday use. :)

As a G10 look alike it's pretty good and I Iike it, the sweep habd gives it a slightly retro look. It suits all the straps I bought for it and the with the brown leather is likely to become a work day favourite. The lume doesn't work as well as it could; this not a problem for me as my days of night working are gone, but if you need lume it's a factor to consider.

I bought the daily beater to add to my collection. I've worn it for 5 days straight while on a trip away in the north pennines bike riding. I came across it by accident while browsing the net looking at watches and just had to have one. The build,fit and finish and the comfort of wearing this watch is brilliant. The seiko movement works a treat and holds time perfectly. The second hand moves similar to an automatic too which I love. The dial is clear and clean and very easy to read. Screw down crown,100 metres water resistant and sapphire crystal what more could I want. I'm very very happy with the watch and so glad I came across it. The strap the watch came with is very comfortable, looks the part and works as it should. I've also purchased another strap from here that's still on its way to change the look when I feel like it. I'm very happy and the watch is highly recommended by me.

I've waited a few weeks before writing this review just to see how I get on with the watch.
It is everything Kristian mentions. In fact, it's been downplayed.
It's a neat size, disappears on your wrist until you need it and is very, very legible in daylight and twilight. If I was going to pick any holes, to my fifty-something eyes, the lume doesn't make it readable without a red led in the dead of night - but for this price that is the only thing I can think of as a very minor negative.
The NOTO Nato-style strap really suits it and it and it is supremely comfortable. I have re-built my woodshed roof while wearing it which has been in searing heat (OK, for Scotland ... it was 30 Celsius!) and also in torrential rain (a few days later - it's Scotland ....) and it has not leaked, suffered condensation or been anything other than a reliable keeper of time.
The design is no doubt inspired by another well known, much referenced mechanical field watch - but you can have 7 of these and still have change and I might not have been as carefree about bashing wood while building the woodshed roof with one of those.
This one has earned its place as my daily beater. Cheers guys for making it available.

I’ve got a love hate relationship with this watch. I love it as it’s such a nice piece with the sapphire glass and the screw down crown. I hate it because it has made all my other watches obsolete, even ones 10 times the price of the daily beater. It’s my got to watch for work knowing that i can replace it for a few quid. It’s standing up really well. If you’re on the fence about getting one, don’t be, just buy it you won’t be disappointed. Also keeps amazing time, I actually set some of my automatics by it

It looks good for what it is. Arguably a touch small maybe. I wouldn’t personally want it any smaller. I don’t have big wrists by any stretch- 17cm on a good day.
On the plus side, it’s very low profile on the wrist.
I have it as my working watch, I’m a gardener, and everything just gets destroyed. If this watch is still in somewhat of a working order in a years time I will be very impressed. Only had it a few weeks so far. A few scratches on the case and the glass seems to be holding up thus far. It’s the glass and the 100m waterproof I got it for essentially.
The scrapes on the case will just be an unavoidable consequence of work life. The brushed case should help a bit I hope.
Thus far very happy. I may swap out the green strap.
Would be good if you done a lady’s/ kids version in maybe 30mm, I’d buy one for my daughter to wreck!!

This is a great watch. Very smart and robust. I found it to be really stylish. Regrettably I sent it back as I didn't find it to my liking comfort wise. I'm just used to lighter digital watches. This is a great watch! It's incredible value but a really good watch at many times the price. The quartz movement is the best of both worlds, grab and go convenience masquerading as a mechanical. It looks superb as well, I love the sterile dial, aged lume, 24hr markings and sand blasted case. It's everything a field watch should be. Now all kristian has to do is make the perfect military diver and we're all sorted

Difficult to see how you'd get a better watch for the money.
Solid build - similar field watches would seem to be at least £150 more.
Bought it to go skiing did the job perfectly. Nice smooth second hand action the 4 little moves each second looks a lot nicer than the usual 1 second movement - almost looks like a mechanical watch -, bold easy to read numbers - looks nice on the wrist.

Having been a watch collector for over 40 years i am always on a look out for another military inspired watch.
Owning many Hamilton khaki watches i was excited to see this watch from Kristian.
I’ve been on the look out for a Benrus style for quite some time but everyone has been a poor representation until now!
This watch is very well made, case finishing and dial printing is superb
and the 4 ticks a second really give the watch a manual wind vibe.
This watch is an absolute bargain imo.

I've always loved the look of the Hamilton khaki field and when I compared The Daily Beater and viewed it's specs, for the price I had to pull the trigger!
I've pared the watch with a Hirsch rally strap with black stitching and brushed finished buckle. I think together they provide a great vintage vibe! I received the watch on the 25th February packaged well and in good condition. I set the time to the second using the atomic clock. On Wednesday 5th March, writing this review, it's only lost 3 seconds, accuracy wise is within spec so far. Overall I'm made up with this purchase and really enjoy wearing the watch, and looking at it even when I'm not checking the time!...X.

I am now the proud possessor of a Daily Beater watch, which I must say matches its’ description and exceeded my expectations. I wondered if the size might be a little small for my 7.5” wrist, but as can be seen from the pictures (and against my 40mm Clearance Diver for comparison) it is just right! The bead blasted finish is ideal for day to day use, the Seiko Instruments movement mimics a mechanical one as far as a semi ‘sweep’ second hand goes, and it is light and comfortable on the wrist.
I have tried it on various straps, and being an eternal optimist (idiot?) am currently wearing it on an Oatmeal ‘Summit’ strap (one of my favourite designs - try them!) to get ready for our Summer - if we ever have one again!
The Lume is there, but doesn’t rival the Seiko Monster (what does?), and as I’m normally asleep through the night I don’t normally have an irresistible desire to check the time at 03:30 in the morning, so I can accept that it works.
All in all, an excellent little watch at a bargain price. Kristian has got a winner here I think - for the price of Haddock and Chips for a family of four, what’s not to like? Give it a try / I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
